How to Reset Your Password

For all members

A Password is the moat and drawbridge to the Castle. It must be simple to remember but complicated enough to discourage attackers. Just as you would change the guards to the castle on a regular basis, you should change your BEI password regularly. It is simple and easy to do.

Starting at the BEI Member Center Home Page, there are three portals to the Password Reset Landing Page:

At the Password Reset Landing Page on the log in page, you can request a temporary Password if you have forgotten your Password. One will be sent to you by email.

To Reset Your Password:

Type your current password into the indicated box
1. Review the Password Requirements listed here:
  1. Password must contain at least one digit
  2. Password must not match last 8 passwords
  3. Password must be at least 8 characters in length
  4. Password must contain at least one lowercase character
  5. Password must contain at least one punctuation (not whitespace or an alphanumeric) character
  6. Password must contain at least one uppercase character
  7. Password must not contain the username
    1. To reset your current Password, type your new Password into both fields
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the gray Save box in the lower, left-hand corner to lock in your new Password
